Introduction of Dharmshala
Dharamshala is located 185 km from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The place has almost become synonymous with Budhist religion and culture. The spirituality and compassion deeply associated with Buddhism has seeped into the lifestyle of the people of this land. The atmosphere reflects peacefulness and serenity. The Buddhist Gompas and temples reflect the culture of Tibet. The best time to visit Dharamshala is between mid-May and mid-October. Earlier Dharamshala was mainly used as a base camp for mountaineers and trekers who come to explore the nearby mountains. If you visit the Kotwali Bazar you will get the flavor of the place, which showcases the simple lifestyle and the different cultures of the people.
